Eine Übertragung dieser Direktsynthese auf die Darstellung von Pentafluorphenyl-brom-stannanen und -bromplumbanen und die Gewinnung anderer Pentafluorphenyl-halogen-silane ist mit dieser Methode nicht oder nur begrenzt möglich. Hydrolyse von 1–4 führt zu (C6F5)2Si(OH)2 (5), [(C6F5)2SiO]n, (C6F5SiO1.5)n, [(C6F5)2GeO]3 und (C6F5GeO1.5)n. Bei Umsetzungen mit Fluorierungsmitteln resultieren (C6F5)2SiF2, C6F5SiF3, (C6F5)2GeF2 und C6F5GeF3. Mit Alkyl-Grignard-Reagentien bilden sich die entsprechenden Pentafluorphenyl-alkylsilane und -alkylgermane, z. B. (C6F5)2Si(C2H5)2, C6F5Si(C2H5)3, (C6F5)2Ge(CH3)2 und C6F5Ge(CH3)3. Pentafluorophenyl Compounds of Silicon and Germanium Bromo(pentafluoro)benzene reacts with a silicon-copper catalyst to give (C6F5)2SiBr2 (1) and C6F5SiBr3 (2) together with (C6F5)3SiBr and Decafluorobiphenyle. With a Ge/Cu-mixture (C6F5)2GeBr2 (3) and C6F5GeBr3 (4) are formed analogously. The preparation of (penta-fluorophenyl)bromostannanes and -bromoplumbanes and of other (pentafluorophenyl)-halosilanes by this method is not possible or only to a limited extent. Reactions of 1–4 with water leads to (C6F5)2Si(OH)2 (5), [(C6F5)2SiO]n, (C6F5SiO1.5)n, [(C6F5)2GeO]3 and (C6F5GeO1.5)n. With fluorination agents (C6F5)2SiF2, C6F5SiF3, (C6F5)2 and C6F5GeF3 With alkyl Grignard reagents the corresponding (pentafluorophenyl)alkylsilanes and -germanes, for example (C6F5)2Si(C2H5)2, C6F5Si(C2H5)3, (C6F5)2Ge(CH3)2 and C6F5Ge(CH3)3, are obtained." @default.
