- W2015405931 abstract "Intestinal intussusception secondary to a metastatic melanoma. Case report Cutaneous melanoma is one of the extra-abdominal cancers that more commonly originates metastases in the gastrointestinal tract. We report a 63 years old male presenting with iron defi ciency anemia and episo- des of gastrointestinal bleeding, with a history of a melanoma of the lower eyelid excised 13 years ago, with negative surgical margins. During the follow up, the patient consulted in the emergency room for an intestinal obstruction. An abdominal CAT scan showed an ileal-ileal intussusception. The patient was operated and the involved intestinal segment was excised. The pathological study of the surgical piece disclosed a pigmented polypoid metastatic melanoma. The patient had an uneventful postoperative evolution." @default.
