- W2015661640 abstract "The authors present a concise discussion of heterogeneous Pd-catalyzed hydrogenation and a brief discussion of Pd-catalyzed homogeneous hydrogenation. The chapter explores the synthetic methods developed for the conjugate reduction of α, β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds focusing on those methodologies that involve the use of palladium catalysts. Three sections are considered: catalytic hydrogenation over palladium catalysts; Pd-catalyzed reductions with group 14 metal hydrides; and Pd-catalyzed reductions with other hydrogen donors. Attention is given to selective alkene and alkyne isomerization reactions of synthetic interest. A limited number of studies on the Pd-catalyzed isomerization of monoenes including its mechanistic aspects is featured. A discussion of hydrogen transfer hydrometallation promoted by Pd catalysts is included. Bis-silylation, silylboration, and borylstannation of alkynes and alkenes are reviewed. The authors explore the syn-heteropalladation of carbon–carbon unsaturated compounds with group 15, 16 and 17 heteroatom compounds." @default.
