Based upon the absence of NF(a 1Δ) from the F+NCO secondary reaction, the ΔHf00 (NF) was assigned as ⩾49.6 kcal mol−1 and D0(N-F)⩽83.3 kcal mol−1. The NCO(Ã2Σ+-X̃2Πi) emission was observed for [HNCO] ⪢ [F]; the suggested mechanism is excitation transfer between N2(A 3Σu+) and NCO(X̃ 2Πi). The addition of an independent source of N2(A) to the system enhanced both the NCO(Ã-X̃) and the NF(b-X) emission intensities, confirming excitation transfer from N2 (A) to NF (X) and NCO (X̃). The F + NCO rate constant was estimated as ⩾(5 ± 3) × 10−12 cm3 molecule−1 s−1." @default.
