- W2015753610 abstract "An ultrasensitive electrochemical sensor based on the synergistic effect of nano ZnO and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for electrochemical sensing of calcium antagonist cilnidipine has been developed. The morphology and electroanalytical performance of the fabricated sensor were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, chronocoulometry, square wave voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. The developed electrochemical sensor exhibited good analytical performance including high sensitivity and selectivity as compared to multiwalled carbon nanotubes modified (MWCNTs/GCE), nano zinc oxide modified (nZnO/GCE) and bare glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The potential utility of developed sensor was demonstrated by applying successfully to the electroanalytical determination of cilnidipine in its pharmaceutical formulation. Under optimal conditions, the peak current is linear to cilnidipine concentration ranging from 5 ng mL−1−5 μg mL−1 with a detection limit of 1.5 ng mL−1. The ease of fabrication, excellent electrochemical performance and long term stability are the promising features of the fabricated sensor." @default.
