On this, we have found only light microscopic studies in the literature, whereas the relevant electron microscopic papers, to our knowledge, exclusively demonstrate the cytology of Candida albicans strains grown on culture media. The results of our investigations complete and correct some conceptions that have hitherto existed on several organelles of Candida albicans cells parasitic in man. Hierzu fanden wir im Schrift-tum nur lichtmikroskopische Untersuchungen, während die uns zugänglichen einschlägigen elektronenmikroskopischen Arbeiten ausschließlich die Zytologie kulturell gezüchteter Candida albicans-Stämme wiedergeben.
