- W2016024964 abstract "Abstract Although workshops have become a popular way to train employees in computer use, little is known about participants' perceptions of these workshops. The purpose of this research was to modify and utilize Importance-Performance Analysis to evaluate participants' perceptions of computer workshops. Use of this approach involved developing an attribute list that represented the important features of a computer workshop. In the survey, participants rated how important the attributes would be in the “ideal” computer workshop and how satisfied they were with the attributes' performance in the actual setting. The importance and performance means for each attribute were plotted on a two-dimensional grid. An attribute's location on the grid was used to determine what action needed to be taken. The results indicated that, for the most part. participants were satisfied with the computer workshops. Importance-Performance Analysis proved to be a useful evaluation tool enabling personnel to identify the strengths and weaknesses of computer workshops as perceived by participants." @default.
