The technique has been successfully used for the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls in biological material and of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins in pentachlorophenol. Die bei der Hydrierung in der Gasphase über einem desaktivierten Pd-Katalysator gebildeten Reaktionsprodukte einiger Umweltkontaminantien (polychlorierte Biphenyle, polychlorierte Terphenyle, polychlorierte Naphtaline, polychlorierte Dibenzo-p-dioxine, polychlorierte Dibenzofurane, polychlorierte Diphenyläther und Pestizide der DDT-Gruppe) wurden mit Hilfe der Gaschromatographie nachgewiesen und identifiziert (carbon skeleton chromatography). Die Hauptprodukte entsprechen in allen Fällen dem dehalogenierten Kohlenwasserstoffgerüst. Spuren von 5–10 ng der erwähnten Substanzklassen können quantitativ bestimmt werden. Diese Technik wurde zur Bestimmung von chlorierten Biphenylen in biologischem Material und von chlorierten Dibenzo-p-dioxinen in Pentachlorphenol angewendet." @default.
