- W2016060713 abstract "Abstract A native oophagous parasite of Prays oleae belonging to the genus Trichogramma , has been reported for the first time in 1962 from Rovies, Evia, Greece. It has also been observed on eggs of Hylesinus oleiperda, Prays oleae and Palpita unionalis in Yugoslavia. It is multiplied by parthenogenesis; its life cycle is completed in 10–12 days at 21°C/ 500 Lux illumination and in 9–10 days at 25°C/1000 Lux. Between 21° and 25°C maximum in fecundity, 46.4 eggs/♀, was observed with the mixture of honey‐yeast hydrolysate as food. The minimum in fecundity, 28.0 eggs/♀, was observed with honey as food. The sex ratio in the progenies of Fi varied from 0.026 to 1.26. The mean longevity at 21°C was slightly increased with the honey‐yeast hydrolysate, being 6.7 days as compared to 5.0 days with honey. The longevity of female controls with water was only 2.5 days and their fecundity 10.0 eggs/♀. No males were observed among the F 1 progenies of the controls. Fecundity at 18°C was low, being 13.8 eggs/♀, where as the longevity was increased to 5.2 days. The ratio of males/females in the progenies of F 1 varied from 0 in the control to 1.26 under the above mentioned diets. The parasite was reared in the laboratory on eggs of Spodoptera littoralis, Cacoenomorpha pronuhana and Palpita unionalis , in addition to the standard medium (eggs of Anagasta). @default.
