Branching ratios were obtained for many states in 59Co below 2.6 MeV excitation and angular correlations involving several states were measured using the 56Fe(α, pγ) reaction. From the correlation data involving transitions from the 1.744 MeV state, assignments of 92− (52−), 52 and 72− were made for the 1.190,1.482 and 1.744 MeV states, respectively. The measured correlations involving the 1.100 and 1.291 MeV states were consistent with 32− assignments for both. In 61Co, the decay properties for many states below 2.3 MeV were determined. Probable spin assignments of 72, 52 or 32 and 52 or 32 were deduced for the states at 1.62 respectively. Systematics of the level structure of the odd-mass isotopes 57Co, 59Co and 61Co were examined and many similarities noted." @default.
