- W2016110113 abstract "To evaluate whether fetal Doppler parameters in patients with preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) of ≥ 7 days could be of use to predict clinical chorioamnionitis. Fetal Doppler was determined 7 days after admission in 41 pregnant women admitted with PPROM (from June 2001 to January 2003). All women were managed with antibiotics and corticosteroids according to our standard protocol. Inclusion criteria were: PPROM ≥ 7 days, single pregnancy, absence of clinical signs of chorioamnionitis. Fetal Doppler parameters evaluated were: umbilical artery (UA) pulsatility index, middle cerebral artery (MCA) pulsatility index and MCA peak systolic velocity. Perinatal outcomes and fetal Doppler parameters were compared between pregnancies with and without posterior development of chorioamnionitis. SPSS package was used for statistical analysis. Fetal Doppler parameters did not differ in women with PPROM who subsequently developed chorioamnionitis. Besides, perinatal results were similar in the two groups." @default.
