Taking into account the contribution from Knudsen flow in the pore volume surface diffusion coefficients Ds were evaluated. The Ds versus θ curves exhibit distinct maxima which can be related to corresponding extrema in the slope of the adsorption isotherms. The “chemical” diffusion coefficients can be converted to surface self diffusion coefficients Ds∗ using adsorption isotherm data. These coefficients are compared with NMR spin echo diffusion coefficients. Models for the mobility of the molecules in the adsorbed phase are suggested." @default.
