- W2016426354 abstract "Polarized Raman scattering measurements have been performed in a Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 superconductor crystal, which had a zero resistance below 70 K. Peaks have been observed at 27, 51, 61, 118, 463 and 620 cm−1, which correspond to Ag first-order Raman lines, as well as a broad band around 300 cm−1 which could be assigned to a B1g mode. A micro Raman technique was used to investigate Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 ceramics, one of them containing 20% of the Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 phase which has a zero resistance below 105 K. The Raman spectra of the ceramics were almost identical to that of the crystal. The Raman technique, although it cannot so far make a clear distinction between the two superconductor phases, is actually very efficient in the detection of minority phases which are present in the ceramics. A tentative assignment of the modes corresponding to the CuO2 planes in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 is given, with their counterpart in YBaCuO crystals." @default.
