- W201651105 abstract "Using halogen tungsten lamp to simulate sunlight as the sole light source for the experiment untertaken, study of photocatalytic cleavage of water on Pt/TiO2/RuOx for photoinduced reduction of water to liberate H2 and on RuOx/TiO2 for photoinduced oxidation of water to evolve oxygen was separately carried out and the preliminary results are presented in this paper.The precipitation position and amount of the principal active constituents of the H2-generation catalyst, (Pt on n-TiO2) were investigated first; ways of doping of catalysts together with the doping conditions using niobium (Nb) as donor impurity effect of the proportion among the constituents of the catalytic system on the H2 generation activity and the specfic action of Ruthenium oxide in the catalyst were studied. The activity of the H2-generation catalyst, Pt/TiO2/RuOx for the photocatalytic reduction of water is expressed as 53.6 ml. H2 per hour per liter of reaction liquor.The effects of the following items on the O2 generation activity:The method of preparation of O2-generation catalyst, the loading quantity of RuOx on catalyst carrier, pH-value of the reaction liquor and whether the recovered catalyst can be submitted to repeated use, have been investigated. The oxygen-generation catalyst, RuOxTiO2 for the photocatalytic oxidation of water is found to be 21.3 ml O2 per hour per liter of reaction liquor.Both catalysts mentioned above were examined by the use of X-ray photoelectron spectroseopy(XPS) with the purpose of displaying the cause for the difference in catalytic activity of various catalysts of the same nominal composition." @default.
