- W2016609747 abstract "1. 1. Sulfated sterols from brittle star Macrophiotrix longipeda , sea urchin Strongylocentrotus intermedius and sea lily Himerometra robustipinna have been isolated using column chromatography on tephlon powder and silica gel and studied by spectroscopy methods. Their acid hydrolysis resulted in sterols. 2. 2. Sterols, obtained by hydrolysis of sulfates from M. longipeda , have been identified after they were preliminary separated using SiO 2 -AgNO 3 chromatography followed by GC-MS analysis as cholest-5-en-3β-ol, 24ζ-methylcholest-5-en-3β-ol, 24ζ-ethylcholest-5-en-3β-ol, 24-norcholesta-5,22-dien-3β-ol, cholesta-5,22-dien-3β-ol, 24ζ-methylcholesta-5,22-dien-3β-ol, 24ζ-ethylcholesta-5,22-dien-3β-ol, 24-methylcholesta-5,24(28)-dien-3βv and 24-ethylcholesta-5,24(28)-dien-3β-ol. 3. 3. A fraction of free sterols has been isolated from M. longipeda and its steroid composition analysis has been carried out. 4. 4. The comparison of fractions of free and sulfated sterols from M. longipeda showed their qualitative sterol compositions to be identical, while the quantitative content of some components to be different." @default.
