These changes can largely be attributed to reactions with indiffusing oxygen and/or water vapor, eventually assisted by the photochemical action of light. In this work we show how aging affects basic properties of latent ion tracks, such as the dopant uptake capability and the conductivity. Both effects are studied in detail.
