- W2017164074 abstract "Our principal aim was to confirm that it is possible to improve significantly the critical current densities of YBaCuO sintered superconductors by the partial substitution of Yttrium by Hafnium. The magnetization of high temperature superconductor (Hfx,Y1−x)Ba2Cu3O7−δ (x = 0.00; 0.05; 0.10) was measured at 77.3K in low magnetic fields. The critical current density (JC) was obtained, for each different Hf atomic proportion (x), from irreversible magnetization (ΔM) as measured in a hysteresis loop. We have shown that, for x=0.05, JC is about 161% greater than for ordinary Hf-free samples (x=0.00) while, for x=0.10, it is about 139% higher. The significant improvement of the critical current densities, which we have obtained in our Hf-substituted samples, was interpreted as an important evidence of Hf-capability to introduce pinning centres in the Y1Ba2Cu3O7−δ system." @default.
