Dioxane is shown to be a suitable reference solvent. The use of sulphuric acid as a solvent leads to dissociation of the material into molecular form although this provides a method for conversion of triclinic material to monoclinic in a similar way to the conversion of α to β form in materials such as copper phthalocyanine. The need to use freshly prepared solutions with this technique is demonstrated with solutions exposed to the atmosphere for periods of one week." @default.
