• W2017277786 abstract "Based on the factorization approach, we show that the CLEO data for the ratio ensuremath{Gamma}(Bensuremath{rightarrow}ensuremath{psi}${mathit{K}}^{mathrm{*}}$)/ensuremath{Gamma}(Bensuremath{rightarrow}ensuremath{psi}K) and the CDF measurement of the fraction of longitudinal polarization in Bensuremath{rightarrow}ensuremath{psi}${mathit{K}}^{mathrm{*}}$ can be accounted for by the heavy-flavor-symmetry approach for heavy-light form factors provided that the form factor ${mathit{F}}_{0}$ behaves as a constant, while the ${mathit{q}}^{2}$ dependence is of the monopole form for ${mathit{F}}_{1}$, ${mathit{A}}_{0}$, ${mathit{A}}_{1}$, and of the dipole behavior for ${mathit{A}}_{2}$ and V. This ${mathit{q}}^{2}$ extrapolation for form factors is further supported by Bensuremath{rightarrow}${mathit{K}}^{mathrm{*}}$ensuremath{gamma} data and by a recent QCD sum-rule analysis. We then apply this method to Bensuremath{rightarrow}D(${mathit{D}}^{mathrm{*}}$)ensuremath{pi}(ensuremath{rho}) decays to extract the parameters ${mathit{a}}_{1}$ and ${mathit{a}}_{2}$. It is found that ${mathit{a}}_{1}$(Bensuremath{rightarrow}${mathit{D}}^{(mathrm{*})}$ensuremath{pi}(ensuremath{rho}))=1.01ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.06 and ${mathit{a}}_{2}$(Bensuremath{rightarrow}${mathit{D}}^{(mathrm{*})}$ensuremath{pi}(ensuremath{rho}))=0.23ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.06. Our result ${mathit{a}}_{2}$/${mathit{a}}_{1}$=0.22ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.06 thus significantly improves the previous analysis that leads to ${mathit{a}}_{2}$/${mathit{a}}_{1}$=0.23ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.11. We argue that, contrary to what is anticipated from the leading 1/${mathit{N}}_{mathit{c}}$ expansioon, the sign of ${mathit{a}}_{2}$(Bensuremath{rightarrow}ensuremath{psi}${mathit{K}}^{(mathrm{*})}$) should be positive and ${mathit{a}}_{2}$(Bensuremath{rightarrow}ensuremath{psi}${mathit{K}}^{(mathrm{*})}$)ensuremath{gtrsim}${mathit{a}}_{2}$(Bensuremath{rightarrow}${mathit{D}}^{(mathrm{*})}$ensuremath{pi}(ensuremath{rho}))." @default.
