- W2017331042 abstract "The effects of rotation on penetrative convection in an annulus of fluid are studied numerically by finite difference method. The axisymmetric flows for 14 sets of parameters are presented. It is found that rotation compresses the cell heights and increases the horizontal cell number in the r-z plane. The curvature of the container strongly affects the cell structure only at low rotation rate. The upper dynamical boundary conditions have virtually no effect on the flow fields if the upper temperature is sufficiently high." @default.
