The CaO–SiO2–Al2O3–MgO–Ca(OH)2 slags were used to study the effect of Ca(OH)2 on total oxygen content, aluminum loss, and FeO content in the slag. It was shown that total oxygen content decreased with the time when no Ca(OH)2 was added into the slag, but it first increased and then decreased with the time when the addition of Ca(OH)2 was made. Moreover, aluminum loss and FeO content in the slag increased with increasing Ca(OH)2 content." @default.
