- W2017515173 abstract "Five major structural genes, vp14, vp19, vp24, vp26 and vp28, were PCR amplified from the genomic DNA of Indian isolate of the White Spot Syndrome Virus and cloned in pRSET B, a bacterial expression vector. The clones were sequenced, and BLAST analysis revealed that vp19 and vp28 gene sequences had certain differences from the sequences of similar genes of the isolates already reported. There were four substitutions in vp19, of which three manifested change at the amino acid level while two were seen in vp28, and both of them resulted in altered amino acid. The recombinant proteins expressed by the induction with IPTG were purified by immobilized nickel affinity chromatography and characterized by Western blot using monoclonal anti-His antibodies and anti-vp19 and anti-vp28 antibodies. Antibodies against vp19 and vp28 reacted only with the tail of White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV)-infected shrimps and not with tail from uninfected shrimps in Western blot." @default.
