Les concentrations d'IGF I sont très fortement dépendantes de l'âge: elles sont très basses chez le nouveau-né puis augmentent progressivement avec l'âge jusqu'à un pic lors de la puberté. Elles diminuent ensuite chez le jeune adulte pour rejoindre des niveaux comparables à ceux observés en période prépubertaire. Enfin, elles diminuent ensuite progressivement avec l'âge. Nous présentons ici des valeurs de référence pour une nouvelle trousse de dosage Irma de l'IGF I proposée par la société Immunotech.
