- W2017753250 abstract "Eu3+-dibenzoylmethide(DBM)-oligomer (styrene-co-acrylic acid) (OSAA) ternary composite was prepared in a water, ethanol and glycerin mixed solvent. The photoluminescence intensity of the Eu3+–DBM–OSAA composite was enhanced in comparison to that of the Eu3+–OSAA composite when the molar ratio of DBM:Eu3+=0.5:1 and pH 7.5 were chosen in the reaction of Eu3+, DBM and OSAA. Red fluorescence emitted at 614 nm was obtained. It is confirmed by Eu(III) content titration, UV–vis and excitation spectra that the second ligand with low molecular weight, DBM, coordinates with the Eu3+ ion which is directly bonded to the ionomer chain. The photoluminescence intensity reaches its maximum when the molar ratio Eu3+:OSAA=1:0.87, and exhibits concentration quenching with a further increase of the Eu3+ content. These observations are discussed in detail and the results are rationalized." @default.
