- W2017965017 abstract "SUMMARY A rabbit antiserum was produced which reacted against an α1-globulin present in human fetal serum. The α1-globulin was found in the serum of all fetuses studied, from 8 to 26 weeks of age, as well as in 86 per cent of cord sera. The antiserum reacted against monkey (Macacus mulatto) newborn serum but not against fetal calf, rat and mouse sera. The fetal protein was found to be soluble in 2 05 M ammonium sulphate and was not precipitated by dialysis against phosphate buffer 0–02 M, pH 5-4. The characteristics of the protein were investigated by zone electrophoresis, ultra-centrifugation, DEAE-cellulose chromatography and gel filtration on Sephadex G 200. RÉSUMÉ Étude des propriétés d'une proteine du sérum d'un fetus humain On a obtenu un antisérum de lapin qui réagissait avec une α-globuline présente dans le sérum d'un fetus humain. L'α-globuline a été rencontrée dans le sérum de tous les fetus humains étudiés, âgés de 8 à 26 semaines, et aussi dans 86 pour cent des sérums de cordon. l'antisérum réagit avec le sérum de singe nouveau-né(Macacus mulatto); mais on n'a pas observé de réaction du sérum mis en présence des sérums de fetus de veau, de rat et de souris. On a trouvé que la proteine fetale est soluble dans le sulfate d'ammonium 2, 05 M et n'est pas précipitée par dialyse contre le tampon phosphate 0,02 M, pH 5,4. Esta globulina-α1 se encontraba en el suero de todos los fetos que se estudiaron de 8 a 26 semanas de edad, y también en un 86 por ciento de sueros del cordón. Se mostró que el antisuero reaccionaba contra el suero de monos recién nacidos (Macacus mulatto), pero no se notó ninguna reacción de antisuero contra el suero de terneros, ratas, ni ratones.
