- W2018087574 abstract "Abstract A method for the simultaneous purification of carboxypeptidase A and B from goat pancreas has been developed, which gives improved yields in the homogeneous preparation of carboxypeptidase B, as well as two forms of carboxypeptidase A. The improved yield of goat carboxypeptidase B has facilitated further studies on this enzyme. Various properties of goat carboxypeptidase B have been studied and compared with properties of the same activity from other sources. Goat enzyme shows an unusually high optimum temperature (70 °C). It has been established that this is due to the fact that the enzyme is being stabilized against heat denaturation by L-arginine, one of the reaction products. Product stabilization has not been reported for carboxypeptidases earlier. Similar stabilization of the enzyme is achieved in the presence of competitive inhibitors of the enzyme." @default.
