- W2018726087 abstract "Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy is based on the fluctuation of the number of fluorescing particles in a small volume element. These fluctuations can be caused by translational and rotational motion as well as by chemical reactions. From the autocorrelation function of these fluctuations information about these processes can be obtained. Compared with dynamic laser light scattering fluorescence correlation spectroscopy offers higher sensitivity and selectivity. Thus the diffusion of small molecules embedded in large polymers can be investigated. A brief account of the theoretical background, the experimental set up used in our laboratory as well as of the Brownian diffusion of molecules of biological interest is given." @default.
