- W2018747814 abstract "The temperature dependence of the nuclear quadrupole resonance lines in solid chlorine for both isotopes are reanalyzed by a method which takes advantage simultaneously of 35Cl and 37Cl data. A value is determined for a lattice librational frequency which, although Raman active, has not been detected, a possible reason being the strong temperature dependence of this mode as deduced in this work. By analogy with isomorphous solid bromine and iodine, the four librational frequencies are assigned to their symmetry species. A lattice contribution to the electric field gradient at the Cl site of about 27% is computed. A sudden change in slope of the temperature behavior of the NQR transition frequency is detected at about 125 K, which may be attributed to a decrease in the lattice contribution to the electric field gradient." @default.
