Also, the mean molar activity coefficients of SrCl2(aq) have been determined over the temperature range 283.15 to 343.15 K at molalities up to 0.3 mol kg−1. The logarithm of the rational activity coefficient of strontium in dilute amalgams is a linear function of the mole fraction of strontium: log10fSr = QxSr where Q is temperature-dependent and can be represented by the equation: Q = 541.347 − 2.2805(T/K) + 3.95021 X 10−3(T/K)2 The values of Q obtained from the e.m.f. measurements of the above cell have been confirmed from supplementary e.m.f. measurements of the amalgam concentration cell: Pt| x2Sr + (1 − x2)Hg|SrCl2(non-aqueous)|x1Sr + (1 − x1)Hg|Pt over the same temperature interval." @default.
