- W2019012917 abstract "This author examined the use of strategies for coping with home–work role conflict among a sample of Jewish (n = 116) and Arab (n = 163) dual-earner families in Israel. Among both groups, the strategy used most was extra effort. The strategies used least were taking initiative and requesting help from colleagues. Moreover, women from both societies tended to use the strategies of redefining demands and requesting help from family, whereas men focused more on extra effort. The Arab men showed a greater tendency than the women to ask for help from colleagues, whereas the opposite tendency was found for Jewish men and women. Women in both societies reported lower levels of psychological well-being than did the men. With respect to job satisfaction, no differences between the sexes were found. Practical implications are discussed." @default.
