The method used is the Ablowitz-Ramani-Segur algorithm based on the Painlev'e property of the differential equations. We show that the system of field equations is not integrable for any value of the coupling constant $ensuremath{omega}$ of the Brans-Dicke theory. We also discuss how to interpret this result as possibly valid for all scalar-tensor theories of gravity and how the nonintegrability of the system may be seen as an indication for the onset of chaos in the problem." @default.
