- W2019296927 abstract "A free vibration analysis of axisymmetric shear deformable laminated circular cylindrical shells is presented. A third-order shear deformation theory of elastic shells is developed and its application is presented for circular cylindrical shells laminated of orthotropic layers. The effects of inplane deformation and inertia, shear deformation and rotatory inertia are all included. Maupertuis–Lagrange (M–L) mixed variational formula is utilized to formulate the governing equations. Analytical solutions for simply-supported, clamped and free boundary conditions are also developed. Numerical results of the third-order theory for natural frequencies of cross-ply laminated circular cylindrical shells are compared with those obtained using the classical and first-order shell theories. The effects due to shear deformation, boundary conditions, lamination schemes, mode number and material anisotropy on the natural frequencies are investigated. The sample numerical results presented herein for free vibration analysis of axisymmetric shear deformable laminated circular cylindrical shells should serve as references for future comparisons." @default.
