There are four thallium atoms with similar coordination spheres in the cubic cage. These thallium atoms contain irregular coordination sphere with stereo-chemically active lone pair. The thermal stability of [Tl4(μ3-dcp)4] was studied by thermal gravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analyses (DTA). The compound [Tl4(μ3-dcp)4] is luminescent in the solution state with emission maxima at 397 nm. The results of studies of the stoichiometry and formation of [Tl4(μ3-dcp)4] complex in DMF solution were found to be in support of their solid state stoichiometry." @default.
