A normalized yield from a resonant nuclear reaction induced by channeled protons has been calculated using the proposed model under the condition of an attained statistical equilibrium of particles in the channel. Comparison has been performed between analytical yield calculations and measured γ-ray yields from the reaction 15N(p, αγ)12C on nitrogen impurity atoms for the major Nb-15N0.02 crystal channeling directions. Unusually high yields of the reaction are demonstrated to be due to the reduced energy losses of the channeled protons." @default.
