- W2019352282 abstract "Amorphous films in the systems AlPO4RO (R ≡ MgorCa) were prepared by r.f.-sputtering, and their densities, IR absorption spectra, and aluminum K-band X-ray emission spectra were determined to investigate the network structure. Furthermore, amorphous films of SiO2CaO were prepared in order to contrast the AlPO4-RO and SiO2RO systems. The density of the amorphous AlPO4RO and SiO2RO films increased monotonically with increasing RO content. The dependence on composition of the molar volume of AlPO4MgO films was very similar to that of SiO2MgO films. In contrast, in AlPO4CaO films the volume change was different from that in the SiO2CaO films. The results of the IR spectra and X-ray emission spectra indicate that the network structure of the amorphous AlPO4MgO films is composed of AlO4PO4 connecting tetrahedral dimers, which are the structural units of amorphous AlPO4 film. In the AlPO4CaO films, the AlO4PO4 dimers are decomposed into types of AlO4 tetrahedra different from those in the dimers, and the end PO3 groups." @default.
