- W2019408527 abstract "The associated gamma-ray time-of-flight technique has been used to investigate the principal decay modes of several low-lying levels in 18Ne, 22Mg and 38Ca via the (3He, nγ) reaction. Neutron-gamma coincidence data obtained in this manner have been used to limit the possible spin-parity assignments to these levels. In the 18Ne case neutron-gamma angular correlation measurements yielded unique spin-parity assignments of 4+ for the 3.38 MeV level and 2+ for the 3.63 MeV level. Accurate values for the excitation energies of the 18Ne bound states were obtained from supplementary Ge(Li) detector data using a pulsed beam neutron-gamma coincidence technique. The present results for 18Ne have been combined with published lifetime measurements for 18Ne and 18O to obtain experimental values of the isoscalar and isovector transition matrix elements for the 22+ → 21+ and22+ → 01+ transitions in the A = 18, T = 1 triad." @default.
