- W2019767910 abstract "The laser-induced B-X fluorescence excitation spectrum of Cl2CS (thiophosgene) has been measured for the first time in a supersonic jet. A partial vibronic analysis together with measured Cl isotope splittings places the origin at 34 275 cm−1 in agreement with the analysis of the high-resolution photographic absorption spectrum by Judge and Moule (J. Mol. Spectrosc. 80, 363–373 (1980), but at odds with an analysis of the optical-optical double resonance spectrum by Dixon and Western (J. Mol. Spectrosc. 115, 74–81 (1986)). Reasons for the discrepancy are discussed, including the possibility that a doubly excited state of 1A1 symmetry is located nearby. Progressions in ν′1 (C-S stretch), two additional upper state modes, and v″4 are observable. The onset of predissociation is fixed at 35 725 ± 50 cm−1, 1450 ± 50 cm−1 above the zero point of the B state." @default.
