- W2019912945 abstract "Abstract The study of Predissociation in van der Waals (vdW) molecules is of importance, since linewidths can give additional potential information from that yielded by the level energies. At the present moment, a lot of theoretical approximative methods was formulated, in which successive refinements were incorporated. The sensitivity of the linewidths to the potential used reveal that performed energy surfaces are needed (if quantitative results are required). The predissociation linewidths for weak-anisotropy vdW molecules should be amenable to experimental measurements in supersonic beams. The analytical and fast methods to calculate energies and linewidths are desirable in order to avoid lengthy numerical calculations involved in exact procedures. The rather qualitative results of these procedures may be important for designing new experiments as well as for the elucidation of the general features of the predissociation rates." @default.
