Elle consiste à apprécier les forces et faiblesses d’un candidat et à suggérer des voies d’amélioration en regard d’un poste actuel ou potentiel. La visée de toute évaluation du potentiel est l’appropriation, par le candidat, des informations transmises par le psychologue. La documentation suggère deux dimensions cognitives de cette appropriation : l’acceptation et la conscientisation. L’objectif de la présente recherche est de développer une mesure valide de l’appropriation cognitive du feedback en contexte d’évaluation du potentiel. Suite à une recension documentaire et à une validation auprès de praticiens, un instrument a été développé et administré à deux échantillons de candidats. Une première étude (n = 111) a permis d’explorer la structure factorielle de l’instrument et de vérifier ses propriétés psychométriques. Une seconde étude (n = 178) a été entreprise afin de confirmer la structure factorielle de l’instrument et d’étayer la validité nomologique et discriminante de ses deux dimensions. Les résultats confirment la présence des deux dimensions attendues et une corrélation modérée entre ces dernières. Par ailleurs, le fait que certaines variables, tel qu’anticipé, soient davantage reliées à l’acceptation (expertise perçue de l’évaluateur) ou à la conscientisation (pertinence du feedback au plan professionnel, intention d’agir) milite en faveur de la validité discriminante des deux dimensions. Limited instruments are available to measure candidate's cognitive integration of the feedback in the context of individual psychological assessment related to the work context. The objective of this article is to validate a questionnaire measuring two dimensions of feedback integration: feedback acceptance and awareness gained from feedback. Two studies were conducted with candidates who completed a questionnaire further to their individual psychological assessment feedback session. A first study (n = 111) was conducted to explore the factor structure and psychometric properties of the questionnaire. A second study (n = 178) was conducted to confirm the questionnaire factor structure and to substantiate the nomological and discriminant validity of its two dimensions. Results confirm that the questionnaire measures the two hypothesized dimensions which are only moderately correlated. Nomological and discriminant validity were established by showing that the two dimensions are correlated with meaningful antecedents and outcomes following a distinctive expected pattern for acceptance (more related to assessor’ perceived expertise) and awareness (more related to perceived message relevance and intent to act upon feedback). Giving preliminary evidences of reliability and validity, this questionnaire can be used by practitioners and researchers to study candidates’ cognitive integration of feedback." @default.
