- W2019980817 abstract "Because of the gravitational differentiation of the fluid, gas and water are usually stratified in the highly inclined or horizontal gas wells. Electromagnetic tomography can identify the mixed fluid flow pattern based on the electrical property differences between gas and water by using electrode arrays to scan. Firstly, we calculate the responses of the combination of the electrodes to the different gas-water interface locations. And then do experiments. Numerical simulation results and experimental data are compared, both are consistent in the circumstances of uniform physical field and features are identical in the stratified flows. By analyzing the changes of the curves, we find that, with the location of the interface changes, there is a form of step which position and width can be used to confirm the interface. The results show that electromagnetic tomography can identify the stratified flow of gas-water, the measurement accuracy of this method depends on adjacent vertical distance between the electrodes." @default.
