An electromagnetic shock tube was used as a light source. The plasma conditions corresponded to electron temperatures of ensuremath{sim}3 eV and electron densities of ensuremath{sim}2ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{} ${10}^{17}$ ${mathrm{cm}}^{ensuremath{-}3}$. No significant shifts were found for the $ensuremath{lambda}1640$-AA{} line. The $ensuremath{lambda}1215$-AA{} line underwent a red shift of ensuremath{lesssim} 0.5 AA{}, consistent with semiclassical estimates of plasma polarization shifts. The measured Stark width of the $ensuremath{lambda}1215$-AA{} line was 10-45% greater than the calculated width based on the measured width of the $ensuremath{lambda}4686$-AA{} line." @default.
