- W2020285424 abstract "An investigation of the photooxidation process of pyrocutechol (I) disseived in CCl4 by two new experimental techniques - modulated UV excitation IR and ESR spectroscopy - is reported. Descriptions of the instrumentation, the experimental conditions and analysis of experiments are given. From measurements of amplitude and phase of the particle concentrations as functions of the modulation frequency (Bode diagrams), The kinetic graph of photoinduced reactions of (I), lifetimes and approximative IR-extinetion coefficients of occuring transient particles are determined. Furthermore. the position of MEIR bands and MESR data yield information about the structure of these particles. The existence of the 2-hydroxyphenoxy radical is inferred from both MEIR and MESR experiments, with approximately 7 ms lifetime and an absorption band of the internal Hbond at 3318 cm−1. The radical is found to transform into a second intermediate of approximately 23 minutes lifetime. Two further photoproducts are found, formed from (1) via two different reaction path-ways. Arguments supporting the assumption that all photochemical transformations start from an excited singlet state are presented." @default.
