The energy transfer between the transmitter coil and the (planar) receiver coil can be improved by several parameters, e.g., the resistivity of the material or the size and shape of the coils. Topic of this paper is the theoretical and experimental investigation of the increased energy transfer by means of magnetic discs nearby the receiver coil. With these investigations a significant increase of the energy transfer efficiency is predicted. For example, an 6 mm planar receiver coil together with a 8 mm magnetic disc with a thickness of 100 μm and a relative permeability of 125 can receive 59% more energy then without the magnetic disc." @default.
