- W2020404355 abstract "Starting from the structural facts for MnAs1-xPx, it is shown that the anomalous heat capacity peak at approximately 230 to 500 K depending on composition ( approximately 0.04<x< approximately 0.15), is directly coupled to the large changes in the unit-cell volume which accompany the MnP to or from NiAs type transition and the associated spin conversion. The present macroscopic approach is neutral to earlier postulated microscopic models. However, the problematic assumption of distinct high- and low-spin ions distributed over the Mn sublattice, introduced in some of the earlier models, is no longer required." @default.
