Scharfe wohldefinierte Endpunkte werden beobachtet und die Titration gelingt auch bei so niedrigen Konzentrationen, wo die Methode nach Liebig-Dénigès nicht anwendbar ist. Die Ergebnisse stimmen gut mit denen der üblichen Methode überein. EDTA kann zur Maskierung der meisten Kationen verwendet werden. On observe des points de virage nets et bien définis et le dosage réussit à de faibles concentrations où la méthode de Liebig-Dénigès est inapplicable.
