• W2020484562 abstract "To compare pregnancy outcomes in eSET vs. 2ET among various age groups. A retrospective analysis of 1218 IVF cycles in women <40 years of age from January 2004-March 2007. Pregnancy outcomes for patients <40 years of age who electively chose eSET were compared to patients who had a 2ET in fresh IVF cycles from January 2004 to March 2007. The outcomes included numbers of eggs retrieved, embryos available on the day of transfer, blastocysts frozen per cycle as well as the clinical pregnancy (CP) and spontaneous abortions (SAB). A CP was defined by the presence of an intrauterine sac + fetal heart activity documented by ultrasound. CP-twin and CP-triplets had 2 and 3 fetal heartbeats, respectively. Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA and X2 analyses were performed with P<0.05. Pregnancy outcomes in 52 women who underwent eSET were compared to 1166 women who underwent 2ET. There were no differences in pregnancy outcomes between the groups. Overall, the twin CP rate was reduced by 93% in the eSET group. Women who chose eSET routinely had a large cohort of good quality blastocysts on day 5 (# embryos transferred ± cryopreserved).
