- W2020930145 abstract "Abstract Contributions to electromagnetic mass differences of PS- and V-mesons from channels, which might be important in bootstrap are evaluated in a simple potential bound-state model. It is shown that both the SU(6) Fermi-Yang model and the SU(3) Fermi-Yang model with appropriate value of the d tf ratio give results for PS-mesons which are in good qualitative agreement with experiment. The contributions from probably less important channel ( B 8 B 10 + B 8 B 10 ) improve the K+−K0 but give too small a value of π+−π0 mass differences. On the other hand, models representing PS-mesons as bound states of vector and pseudoscalar or of scalar and pseudoscalar mesons give the wrong sign of the K+−K0 mass difference. On this basis it is argued that the baryon-antibaryon channels should dominate meson-meson channels in the bootstrap model of PS-mesons. Electromagnetic mass differences of vector mesons are calculated in both Fermi-Yang and meson-meson models, too, but any comparison with experimental data or any conclusions about their structure cannot be made at present." @default.
