- W2021072621 abstract "DURING the period covered by this REVIEW, discussion and experimental activity concerned with group behavior continued at a vigorous rate. Altho the years cannot be characterized as encompassing great originality in methodological construction, it seems safe to argue that they have been dominated by continuous refinements of useful observational methods and by increased knowledge of variables which act to bias and distort the observations themselves. A noticeable characteristic has been the continued use of observational and recording technics for such practical purposes as assessment and selection programs. This review of the literature represents only a sample of the numerous research studies in the area. The authors have tried to limit their study to experimentation which more or less directly involves in its design the exploration and/or refinement of technics of observing and recording group behavior. It should also be noted that the total literature on this topic is not represented because of the exclusion of studies reported in languages other than English. The authors regret their lack of access to material from this expanding source." @default.
