• W2021330795 abstract "외국인의 유입이 가속화되고 있는 한국 시장에서 인종별 소비자 특성에 대한 이해가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 미국이 대표적인 다인종 사회임을 고려하여, 미국에 거주하는 백인 피험자를 대상으로 광고모델의 인종, 상황적 맥락, 제품 유형이 광고와 브랜드 태도 형성에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 이를 위해 2(모델 인종: 흑인/백인) X 2(실험상황: 사적/공적) X 2(제품유형: 고관여 이성/저관여 감성) 혼합요인 설계를 이용하였고, 인상 관리를 공변인으로 하여 공변량 분산 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 백인 피험자들은 자동차 광고 모델이 백인일 때 공적인 조건에서보다 사적인 조건에서 광고에 대한 태도를 더 긍정적으로 보고한 반면에, 모델이 흑인일 때는 실험 상황에 따른 태도의 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구는 한국 시장에서 한국 소비자를 대상으로 다양한 인종과 국적의 모델을 사용했을 때 광고와 브랜드에 대한 태도가 어떻게 달라질 수 있는지 이해하는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. As the Korean market is becoming increasingly diverse, it is imperative that marketers targeting the Korean market understand the consumers with various racial and cultural backgrounds. The current study investigated the effects of the endorser race (White vs. Black) on the attitudes toward the ad and brand while varying the experimental context (private vs. public) and product type (high involvement-rational vs. low involvement-emotional) with White participants. Impression management was included as a covariate. The results showed that when the endorser was White and the product was an automobile, participants indicated more positive attitudes toward the ad in the private context than in the public context. When the endorser was Black, the context had no significant effects on the attitudes. The implications of these findings for the Korean market are discussed." @default.
