- W20220664 abstract "RUMENDA GINTING. The Diversity of Fruit Fly (Diptera: Tephritidae) in Jakarta, Depok, and Bogor as Pest Risk Analysis (PRA) Component. Under direction of NINA MARYANA and TEGUH SANTOSO. Fruit fly (Diptera: Tephritidae) is one of the important pest in horticultural crop. More than one hundred horticultural plants become objects of fruit flies infestation. When the population was high, the intensity of its attack can reach 100%. Therefore, this pest attracts the world s attention in its effort to make control, species inventory, host, and distribution of fruit flies through survey area. This research was aimed to collect data of the diversity of fruit flies in Jakarta, Depok, and Bogor. The data collected was aimed not only to supply the information in designing the PRA of plant pest organisms but also to construct the pest list of fruit flies species of the country. This research was carried out in Kramat jati central market and fruits warehouse at Tj. Priok (Jakarta), UI forests and Cimanggis (Depok), and Cihanyawar (Bogor). Methods of the research consisted designing and placing the traps, collecting the samples of the trapped fruit flies, collecting and processing the samples, identifying the collected and processed fruit flies, and analyzing the data and plant pest organisms status. Fourteen species of fruit flies have been identified: Bactrocera carambolae, B. impunctata, B. minuscula, B. occipitalis, B. papayae, B. umbrosa, Bactrocera sp. which were attracted and trapped by Methyl eugenol (ME), while other 7 species were attracted and trapped by Cue lure (CUE): B. albistrigata, B. calumniata, B. caudata, B. cucurbitae, B. melastomatos, B. neocognata, and Dacus longicornis. Data analysis shown that Cihanyawar has a highest variety species index value (1.30). On the contrary, Cimanggis has a smallest value of variety species (0.85). B. carambolae was chosen as a model of PRA lists. B. carambolae has a high risk as quarantine pest with about 78 host plant species distributed in the 27 families. During investigation, exotic species was not detected, and all fruit flies trapped were judged as endemic pest." @default.
